Hartley House is now a family run home that has been in operation for over 30 years. The home enjoys an excellent reputation for providing quality care. We aim to enable older people to continue living as independently as possible by giving them care and support consistent with their needs.
Several of our established residents, and most new applicants, now require higher levels of care and support than was originally planned for residential care services. We have responded to these changes by improving our staffing and facilities, without losing sight of our original aim.
Hartley House Care Home is registered for 57 residents, with 54 single and 3 double bedroom to accommodate married couples or residents who wish to live together by choice. All the rooms are individually furnished and residents are welcome to bring in their own furniture and prized possessions. 22 rooms have en-suite showers and/or w.c.’s.
We are registered with the Care Quality Commission (“CQC”) to provide personal care and accommodation, and will support all persons who because of physical or mental incapacities require help with daily living. Click here to view our latest inspection report dated March 2015 when the home was rated “Good” in all categories.
We continue to value each and every individual who comes to live at Hartley House. We welcome applications from people from all walks of life and with many different needs, who enjoy the opportunity to share and celebrate the richness and diversity of their experience. All residents are assured that they will be treated with respect and dignity according to their individual needs and wishes.
You are encouraged to visit Hartley House before making a decision. You may apply directly for a place at the home, although most applications follow an assessment of need made by the local authority social services. This includes an assessment of their financial circumstances, which will determine any funding to which you may be entitled as a contribution to the costs of their accommodation and care.
